Sport knee surgery

Sport knee surgery includes a range of procedures designed to restore stability, reduce pain, and help patients return to activity after knee injuries. Treatments may include ACL reconstruction, sometimes combined with lateral extra articular tenodesis to improve rotational stability, as well as surgery for MCL, PCL, and posterolateral corner injuries. Other procedures address cartilage damage, meniscal tears, and tendon injuries, helping to preserve joint function and protect the knee long term. In some cases, an osteotomy may be performed to realign the knee and relieve pressure on damaged areas. Patella stabilisation surgery treats recurrent kneecap dislocation, while radiofrequency ablation may help manage chronic knee pain. For severe trochlear dysplasia, trochleoplasty can reshape the femoral groove to improve kneecap stability. Together, these procedures aim to restore knee function and support a safe return to everyday activities and sport.
